First Care

First Care

First Care is a life-saving ministry first started in 1983 with the goal of saving babies and helping parents. First Care empowers women to choose life for their unborn children and shares the love and good news of Jesus Christ while doing it.

The Christ-centered organization has since grown to provide education, counseling, and women’s medical services at four locations in Palm Beach County, Florida. Clinics are full-service with nurses on staff.

Women facing crisis pregnancies have access to pregnancy tests, low-cost testing for common sexually transmitted infections, ultrasounds, and options counseling for alternatives to abortion. Referrals can be made to community partners that provide parenting classes, ongoing support for women choosing to carry their babies, and support services for post-abortive women.

Getting the Word Out

It’s a big win when a woman chooses life for her unborn baby and eternal life for herself. Beau Heyman, Executive Director, shared that testimony on Mornings with Eric and Brigitte on Moody Radio.

Heyman says, “I never met a woman who chose life and regretted it. It’s always, always 100 percent the same thing. ‘Thank you so much for helping me through this dark time. I’m so happy to be a parent.’”

You can listen to the radio broadcast and learn what happens day-to-day at the clinic, what happens with an unplanned pregnancy, and how First Care reaches out to these women.

First Care Events

Recently, First Care held its 40th Annual Walk for Life in Palm Beach Gardens, Florida. The event supports the life-saving ministry. Participants are asked to set up their own fundraising page making it easy to raise funds and obtain sponsors via email, social media, and even text.

The Baby Bottle Boomerang (BBB) is a unique event allowing First Care to partner with local churches, schools, and organizations. They provide the baby bottles and supporters fill the bottles with cash, coins, and/or a check. Once the bottles are filled, they can then be “boomeranged” back to First Care.
