God’s love is the only love that never fades. He gives His love freely, abundantly, and always has more love to give. In giving His only son to die on the cross, He saved us, all from the lowest to the highest, for all eternity. It is His divine act of love toward each and every one of us. It is up to us, individually, to accept His love and acknowledge Him. In so doing, we shall never depart from Him, nor will He ever depart from you. In a world were everything is only temporary, there is only one thing we can cling to that is true, reliable, and permanent and that is God’s love.
There is no stronger bond in existence than the bond we have with God’s love. It is real, it is steadfast, lasting for all eternity. “Who shall separate us from the love of Christ? shall tribulation, or distress, or persecution, or famine, or nakedness, or peril, or sword?” Romans 8:35.
We have been loved by God before we were ever born. Truly, the sacrifice of His son demonstrates His love toward us. “In this was manifested the love of God toward us, because that God sent his only begotten Son into the world, that we might live through him. Herein is love, not that we loved God, but that he loved us, and sent his Son to be the propitiation for our sins.” I John 4:9-10.
When we love one another, we are being Christlike. “Beloved, let us love one another: for love is of God; and every one that loveth is born of God, and knoweth God. He that loveth not knoweth not God; for God is love.” I John 4:7-8.
God is with us at every moment, through the joys, the sorrows, the fears we experience. “What shall we then say to these things? If God be for us, who can be against us? He that spared not his own Son, but delivered him up for us all, how shall he not with him also freely give us all things?” Romans 8:31-32.
Only God’s great love can conquer death. We should rejoice as believers that in His great love is where our hope resides. “For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life.” John 3:16.
As we return His love by following Him, He continues to dwell in our hearts. “He that hath my commandments, and keepeth them, he it is that loveth me: and he that loveth me shall be loved of my Father, and I will love him, and will manifest myself to him.” Romans 14:21.
God’s abundant love is enough for all humanity to dwell in. “How excellent is thy lovingkindness, O God! therefore the children of men put their trust under the shadow of thy wings.” Psalms 36:7.
We need only to accept God’s love and He will sustain us and direct our path. “And we know that all things work together for good to them that love God, to them who are the called according to his purpose.” Romans 8:28.
The surety of God’s love is everlasting. Because of this we are to share the Gospel with the lost to give them the same hope and assurance we have. “For I am persuaded, that neither death, nor life, nor angels, nor principalities, nor powers, nor things present, nor things to come, Nor height, nor depth, nor any other creature, shall be able to separate us from the love of God, which is in Christ Jesus our Lord.” Romans 8:38-39.
