My Safe Space

My Safe Space

“My Safe Space” is a poem describing the safe space available to everyone who places their faith and trust in Jesus Christ.

In shadows deep, where fears reside,
My weary soul, it cannot hide.
But then a light, a gentle grace,
Leads me to my safe, sacred space.

No earthly walls, no sheltering stone,
But arms of love, a refuge shown.
In Jesus’ hold, my spirit finds,
A peace that soothes, and gently binds.

The storms may rage, the winds may blow,
But in His love, my comforts grow.
No tempest’s wrath, no piercing dart,
Can reach the stillness of my heart.

He whispers truths, a calming sound,
Where grace and mercy do abound.
My burdens lift, my worries cease,
In His embrace, I find release.

The world may spin, in chaos’ dance,
But in His presence, I advance.
With every breath, a whispered prayer,
My safe space, always waiting there.

The world’s harsh noise, it fades away,
As in His presence, I softly sway.
No judgment here, no scornful gaze,
Just boundless love, through all my days.

When doubt descends, and shadows creep,
His gentle hand, my soul will keep.
He lifts my chin, and calms my fear,
And whispers, “Child, I’m always near.”

So let the storms of life increase,
My safe space grants eternal peace.
In Jesus’ arms, I’ll ever be,
A soul secure, eternally free.

And when the day, its course has run,
And evening stars, their light have spun,
I close my eyes, and find my rest,
Within His love, supremely blessed.
