Key verses: 1 Corinthians 3:1-9, 21-23
The sermon “Our Part in the Harvest” speaks to the spiritual harvest of saving souls and calls every believer to active participation, planting and nurturing seeds of the Gospel for eternal fruit.
Understanding the Urgency of the Harvest
Believers must recognize the fields ripe for reaping, as souls await the message of salvation. Divisions and immaturity hinder this work, fostering envy and strife that distract from unity in labor. Instead, focus on collaborative efforts in which some sow the Word and others encourage growth, trusting in divine power for results.
As written in 1 Corinthians 3:6, “I have planted, Apollos watered; but God gave the increase”âthis illustrates shared responsibilities without rivalry. Further, John 4:35 urges immediate action, “Say not ye, There are yet four months, and then cometh harvest? behold, I say unto you, Lift up your eyes, and look on the fields; for they are white already to harvest.”
Faithful Actions for Soul-Winning
Preach the Gospel boldly, sharing through words, tracts, and witness as written in Mark 16:15, “And he said unto them, Go ye into all the world, and preach the gospel to every creature.” Without messengers, how can the lost hear? According to Romans 10:14, “How then shall they call on him in whom they have not believed? and how shall they believe in him of whom they have not heard? and how shall they hear without a preacher?”
Luke 19:10 reminds us of the purpose: “For the Son of man is come to seek and to save that which was lost.” Prioritize eternal treasures over worldly concerns.
