We Look for the Savior is a sermon teaching us that when we get to Heaven, we will recognize people we knew on Earth. Moreover, we will recognize people we didn’t know on Earth. It means we all won’t look the same, but our bodies will be like Jesus’s body. We will be like Him.
So how do you get to Heaven? He told us. If we believe in God, we need to believe in Jesus also. Jesus says He prepares us a place in Heaven and that He will come again to receive us onto Himself. We will always be with Him. Jesus proclaimed that He is the Way, the Truth, and the Life; no one can go to the Father but by Him.
We can prepare for the Lord’s return:
- Know that you’ve been saved and get baptized.
- Read and study your bible.
- Become an active serving member of a local church.
- Bring others to the Lord.
We Look for the Savior sermon starts with verses from Philippians 3:20-21:
20 For our conversation is in heaven; from whence also we look for the Saviour, the Lord Jesus Christ:
21 Who shall change our vile body, that it may be fashioned like unto his glorious body, according to the working whereby he is able even to subdue all things unto himself.
also John 14:3:
3 And if I go and prepare a place for you, I will come again, and receive you unto myself; that where I am, there ye may be also.
II Corinthians 5:10:
10 For we must all appear before the judgment seat of Christ; that every one may receive the things done in his body, according to that he hath done, whether it be good or bad.
