{"id":11481,"date":"2020-06-03T09:47:08","date_gmt":"2020-06-03T13:47:08","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/www.westpark-baptist-dev.com\/?p=11481"},"modified":"2022-06-08T15:01:58","modified_gmt":"2022-06-08T19:01:58","slug":"rooted-in-the-fathers-love","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.westpark-baptist-dev.com\/rooted-in-the-fathers-love\/","title":{"rendered":"Rooted in the Father&#8217;s Love"},"content":{"rendered":"<style type=\"text\/css\"><\/style><p>The great love of our God is life-changing and though we try to understand its fullness, we can only just scratch the surface. God\u2019s love is far reaching, permeating the seen and the unseen, to the very core of our soul. Indeed, it is the soul that finds kinship with its creator, our loving Father in Heaven.<\/p>\r\n<p>Only God\u2019s love can touch the heart of man and transform him into a new creature. Adopted as a child of God, we become part of the body of Christ and will reign with Him forever. But this would be impossible if it were not for God\u2019s love toward us that has existed for as long as He has. \u201cAccording as he hath chosen us in him before the foundation of the world, that we should be holy and without blame before him in love:\u201d Ephesians 1:4.<\/p>\r\n<p>We can wholly rely on our Father\u2019s love for it is endless, it is permanent, and it is unshakeable. And just like a seedling, we are sustained, strengthened, and encouraged day by day to thrive and do His work. The apostle Paul said it best when he prayed, \u201cThat Christ may dwell in your hearts by faith; that ye, being rooted and grounded in love, May be able to comprehend with all saints what is the breadth, and length, and depth, and height; And to know the love of Christ, which passeth knowledge, that ye might be filled with all the fulness of God.\u201d Ephesians 3:17-19.<\/p>\r\n<p>Even to the smallest detail, God\u2019s love meets our daily needs, \u201cGive us this day our daily bread.\u201d Matthew 6:11. And we are at rest knowing God is with us tomorrow, \u201c<em>It is of<\/em> the LORD&#8217;S mercies that we are not consumed, because his compassions fail not. <em>They are<\/em> new every morning: great <em>is<\/em> thy faithfulness.\u201d Lamentations 3:27-28.<\/p>\r\n<p>The love of the Father is seen throughout creation. We were made in the image of God so He could love us as His own children. \u201cIn the day that God created man, in the likeness of God made he him; Male and female created he them; and blessed them, and called their name Adam, in the day when they were created.\u201d Genesis 5:1-2. Our world, the universe, every ecosystem, micro-organism, flora, and fauna work together in exquisite harmony revealing God\u2019s love to sustain mankind through the ages. <strong>\u201c<\/strong>He stretcheth out the north over the empty place,\u00a0<em>and<\/em>\u00a0hangeth the earth upon nothing.\u201d Job 26:7.<\/p>\r\n<p>Even when man fell in the Garden of Eden, it was the Father\u2019s love that provided a path to redemption. We could be reconciled with Him through Jesus Christ. We need simply to ask forgiveness and put our faith and trust in God.
